FAQs

What is probate, and do I need it?

Probate is a court process confirming the validity of the Will and it grants the executor the legal authority to act and administer the deceased’s estate. Not all estates need probate and we can advise on your situation.

What happens if there’s no Will?

The estate is distributed according to the law. We’ll help you identify whether Letters of Administration are required and guide you through the process.

Can an executor also be a beneficiary?

Yes, this is common. We can help ensure any potential conflicts of interest are handled properly.

What does administering an Estate mean?

The executor or administrator of an Estate is responsible for gathering or “calling in” the deceased’s assets and settling their debts.

How long does estate administration take?

Most estates are completed within 6 to12 months, depending on complexity. We’ll keep you informed at every step.

Do I need a law firm to help administer an estate?

It’s not mandatory, but our guidance ensures everything is done correctly, reducing the risk of delays or disputes.
